After breakfast, leave for a sightseeing tour of Kandy. The city lies in the hills and was the last capital of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka. It's the second-largest city in Sri Lanka and is famous for its beauty. Kandy is one of the 7 World Heritage Sites in Sri Lanka listed by UNESCO! With its luxuriant prairie, picturesque lake, the longest river in the country, and misty mountains, Kandy successfully mesmerizes every visitor. While on your city tour, you will visit one of the world Heritage sites as well as a sacred place for Buddhists from all over the world, the Temple of Tooth. Then you will be dropped off by Kandy Lake where you can enjoy a leisurely walk. Then visit Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya. The real evidence of the richness of the region will be affirmed by your visit to the Gem Museum. Sri Lanka produces the finest quality gems in the world! Check out semi-precious gems and the sapphires of Sri Lanka, which are very exclusive and come in shades of blue, red, green, white, etc. In the evening, you will witness a traditional cultural dance show.
